AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are yet to sign on contract renewals with the club and perhaps that is why some transfer negotiations have been frozen for now. Such is the case for the two Rossoneri targets Sven Botman and Renato Sanches. The red and black faithful risk losing these two players who have been followed for months.
According to what is reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, and regarding Renato Sanches, it seems that the sport director Frederic Massara as well as Paolo Maldini who is the technical area director have three alternative players.
In event of failure to recruit the Portuguese midfielder, AC Milan would then turn their attention to River Plate's young star Enzo Fernandez: an Argentinian 21-year-old. But, even that deal would be difficult. The other player who is appreciated is Bryan Cristante of AS Roma, 27 years old, a familiar face at Milanello. His teammate, 29-year-old French midfielder Jordan Veretout is also on the radar.
