Former sport director of Lazio, Bologna, Sampdoria, AS Roma and Salernitana, Walter Sabatini, has spoken to the microphones of Italian newspaper Tuttosport. He discussed the ongoing situation surrounding Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara's with the AC Milan higher management as their contract renewals are still pending:
"There is one thing which I do not understand: the delay in the contract renewals of Maldini and Massara. They overturned the scenario with far-sighted choices, this waste of time is harmful and I don't understand it. I am surprised, I do not understand what the logic is, it seems to me like a hallucination."
"Is it the fault of the change of ownership? Ok, but in that sector there is an absolute value: there is cohesion between the coach and the managers, there are far-sighted and rewarding choices, I don't understand what waiting can be used for. Then they will say to me: 'Sabatini, mind your business', I am expressing my opinion."
