As it has been widely reported in recent weeks, Federico Bernardeschi will be leaving Juventus on a Bosman. His contract expiry in a few days means that he is free to choose any club to sign for if an agreement is found on personal terms, obviously.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport in today's print edition, Aurelio De Laurentiis who is the president and owner of Napoli had an exploratory interview with the Italian player's agent Federico Pastorello. The aim behind such contact was to understand the feasibility of the deal and what the player's stance is. But, the interview ended in a 'stalemate' status, according to the same source, regarding the financial aspect.
As per La Gazzetta, the trails leading for AC Milan and AS Roma remain alive for the player's entourage. AS Roma would go for him if Nicolo Zaniolo is sold. However, Bernardeschi would ideally prefer a move to a side that plays in the Champions League.
