Former AC Milan head coach, Arrigo Sacchi, expressed his opinion as usual to the microphones of La Gazzetta dello Sport about the Serie A calendar for next season which was presented yesterday.
Here are his words:
"Deadly. Before the September break they have seven league games. Home: Udinese, Bologna, Inter and Naples. Away: Atalanta, Sassuolo and Sampdoria. And in between two Champions League rounds right between the derby and the match against Napoli. Let's start with a strong heart."
Sacchi elaborated:
"It will be the most anomalous championship of the last twenty years. And anything could really happen. I imagine an unpredictable Serie A . Those players who can adapt quickly to various situations will have an advantage. There are many foreigners in our league and these, in most cases, will go away for the World Cup. The top teams that make the cups will play 21 games in three months: "Mamma mia what a tour de force! It means 7 games a month, there is the risk of many injuries because the pace has increased. Consequently, there is also a danger for the World Cup: that the will lose champions, therefore appeal."
