Some Italian media outlets have claimed lately that AC Milan are looking at the possibility of signing Francesco Acerbi from Lazio as a low-cost solution. After the Rossoneri have been unable to secure the arrival of Sven Botman from French club Lille, they are evaluating different options and opportunities in the mercato session of this summer.

According to what is reported by Tuttosport in today's print edition, Milan, to replace Alessio Romagnoli who is leave on a Bosman, have targeted Francesco Acerbi, the Lazio defender with whom the Rossoneri have already had positive contacts in recent days.
An agreement with Biancocelesti will not be found easily, however, because Claudio Lotito is asking to receive a transfer fee of 5 million euros to let go of the experienced player.
For their part, however, AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara would be aiming to close the deal at around half that fee: between 2 to 3 million euros.
