Il Corriere dello Sport today have taken stock of the AC Milan mercato moves and explained that there is still the willingness of reinforcing the defensive department in the squad of head coach Stefano Pioli. Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have not been able to sign Sven Botman. However, there are still some alternatives on the shortlist.

According to what is reported by the newspaper mentioned above, one of the players being watched by the Rossoneri is Paris Saint-Germain's Senegalese defender who is 26 years old: Abdou Diallo. He is valued at around 20 million euros. But, the priority for the red and black faithful right now is to strengthen the offensive department first. Then, hopefully with a few weeks passing, perhaps PSG would be willing to lower their requests and Milan would then be able to sign the player.
The alternative for Abdou Diallo, though, is in the Serie A. According to the report, Francesco Acerbi is also followed by AC Milan. The player is leaving Lazio and would be a good option for rotation purposes for coach Stefano Pioli.
