AC Milan continue to look for a defensive midfielder to replace the exit of Franck Kessié who was announced as a new FC Barcelona player just recently. Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are reportedly interested in purchasing the sports services of Renato Sanches from French league side Lille. But, he is not the only profile being followed by the club directors in view of the summer transfer window.
According to Tuttosport, there is the name of Premier League side Aston Villa's defensive midfielder Douglas Luiz who is a Brazilian 24-year-old. Like Renato Sanches, his contract expires in June 2023. As per the daily Turin-based newspaper, the player has informed his club's management that he does not plan to renew his deal with them.
The British side, therefore, could choose to let go of the player in the summer in order to not lose him on a free transfer.
