AC Milan central defender Matteo Gabbia has a future to be "deciphered' writes Tuttosport in today's print edition. The 22-year-old Italian player has not played much last season under the guidance of coach Stefano Pioli and there are rumours about a possible exit out of the San Siro in order to play more.
According to what is reported by Tuttosport, the defender wants to play with more continuity and obviously, he cannot get that at Milan with Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori and Simon Kjaer being ahead of him. AC Milan are willing to let him go and let him play elsewhere to get expeerience and minutes in his legs when they secure the arrival of a new defender, however.
Sampdoria has been interested in Gabbia for some time, but the feeling is that until August the situation will not unlock and therefore he will have to stay at Milanello until then at least.
