AC Milan signed Alessandro Florenzi from AS Roma after a positive previous season spent at the San Siro on loan. The Serie A winner spoke about how his summer went to the microphones of Sky Sport Italia:
"It was a quiet summer between vacation and work. I am happy to have been redeemed by Milan. I left Roma with regret, but I immediately turned the page. I want to write new important pages in my future."
On the new season:
"Many teams have strengthened. Last year, we won with merit, we want to reiterate this again this year . It will not be easy, everyone will give their all to beat the Italian champions. We have to work and think match after match. Let's think about Udinese (first game of the season) then take it one game at a time. We have to defend what we won on the pitch last year."
Florenzi on the Scudetto:
"There was a great team spirit, we all pushed on the same side. We may not have been the strongest on paper, but the strongest don't always win. There are small things that give great results. Even in difficult moments we have became a group and we have overcome adversity."
The target in the new season:
"In the Serie A, we want to repeat ourselves and win the second star, it's our great goal. It won't be easy, but it's our goal. In the Champions League, we have to improve what we did last year, many had no experience in the competition, but last year's matches taught us a lot. We have to try to do better in the Champions League."
On the growth of the younger players:
"They have already grown a lot. Even the signing of Origi can give us a lot. He is a player who will be respected. We have great quality and experience forward. We have three players who can have their say. Origi has great charisma, he can help us a lot."
Florenzi on leaving AS Roma:
"I changed a lot because when I left Rome for other cities it was not my will. But I have to say one thing: in recent years I have seen many cities. I have become cultured a lot. I have experienced things that I have not before. I thought I was living. At the beginning of my career, I wanted to have my entire career in Rome, this was not possible, but I had the opportunity to grow in life. Milan? I was well received by the city. Everything is great."
On Yacine Adli:
"You have to let him work quietly, he has to be given time. He has great qualities, the coach has to get something out of him and I'm sure he will know how to do it. He settled in very well, before singing a song in French, he introduced himself in Italian, he was really good."
