AC Milan want to strengthen the squad that is currently available to Italian head coach Stefano Pioli. The goal is to strengthen the team that won the Scudetto last year in order to be able to defend it in this new season and also play well in the Champions League.
In this case, for the defence, AC Milan have shown interest in a few profiles after losing out on Sven Botman who joined Newcastle.
There is Tottenham's central defender, Japhet Tanganga. According to The Athletic, the Rossoneri and Spurs are in talks with director Fabio Paratici having been in Milan last week. But for now, however, it appears that Tanganga "is more an opportunity than a priority for the Italian club".
The Serie A champions would prefer prefer a loan with an option to buy that would be set at a lower fee than the 20 million euros which Tottenham want.
"The extent to which Milan push for Tanganga may depend on if they can bring in Eintracht Frankfurt’s Evan Ndicka, who has emerged as a key target", writes The Athletic.
