AC Milan took a trip to France and faced Olympique de Marseille at the Vélodrome stadium. The red and black faithful won with conviction 2-0 thanks to goals of Junior Messias and Olivier Giroud (you can check players ratings here).
After the match, Croatian head coach of Marseille, formerly at Hellas Verona, Igor Tudor, has spoken to the media in a press conference and had the following comment about the result:
"We found it difficult because we faced a truly top-level team who were ahead of Inter and Juventus last year. There was a gap, today it is clear that we weren't able to fill it, especially in the first half."
Marseille boss Igor Tudor continued:
"In the second half, we came out better. But, at the moment it wasn't the team we could face. Today we weren't able to press high against Milan."
