Vicenza coach, Francesco Baldini made statements at the end of the friendly match against AC Milan, the game which ended 6-1 in favour of the Rossoneri.
Here are the quotes:
"Obviously, there was an important technical and physical gap. Players of this level have a different engine than normal. Tonight, we wanted to play for it. it would have been easy to wait behind and make them dribble, but the result would not have changed. We tried to do the things we worked on, which is to go man against man, but against these players it was difficult because they immediately create numerical superiority. I appreciate the attitude of the guys, because they tried to play their game."
On the start of the game which saw Vicenza score within 25 seconds:
"We found the goal straight away and it's a positive thing because it came from a good play. We were good at football in the first ten minutes, then the opponents came out. We played the first ten minutes at a good level. I was expecting a reaction after the goal immediately. They (Milan) have improved a lot compared to last year, they have an important physicality and have a great ability to make the ball go round in possession."
Baldini on the attitude:
"We tried to attack and steal the ball, tonight on a general level we tried to play the game by making some exchanges that they really do very well and we still have to memorize. Tonight we understood what we need to improve on, because teams like AC Milan show you all the flaws."
