Former coach of Newcastle, Liverpool, Everton, Real Madrid, Inter and Napoli: Rafael Benitez, has spoken to La Gazzetta dello Sport about the Serie A season which should kick-off this weekend:
"The favourites to win the league are Inter and Juventus. But, it would be disrespectful not to consider Milan after their Scudetto victory. I would also like to see Napoli re-enter the fight at the top, provided that the transfers do not excessively affect their performance."
Rafael Benitez on AC Milan:
"The Rossoneri are proof that the well-deserved trust in the work of a capable coach like Pioli can compensate for the difference in value and bear the weight of other situations. Pioli has the preparation and experience to keep this group at the top. I am sure that Milan will be in the running until the end, even if sometimes a match is enough to decide an entire path."
