AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are reportedly keen on signing a midfielder after the exit of Franck Kessié on a free to FC Barcelona. Renato Sanches chose to sign for Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain. Now, the Rossoneri are looking at different alternatives.

One of the profiles on the shortlist appears to be Ivan Ilic of Hellas Verona who has been heavily linked to Lazio. According to the latest updates, the player has been ‘reserved’ by Lazio but they needed to offload Luis Alberto with Sevilla wanting to sign him. But, the La Liga side chose to get Isco instead, leaving Luis Alberto still at Lazio. Therefore, the Biancocelesti are still unable to bring Ivan Ilic to the Formello sports centre.
As per Calciomercato.com, Lazio’s midfield now is complete ‘in theory’. Milan, on the other hand, have gone ahead and asked for information regarding the player and it seems that some Bundesliga clubs are wanting to sign the Serbian 21-year-old midfielder, who is a former player at Manchester City U21.
