AC Milan are set to face Atalanta in matchday 2 away from the San Siro. Gian Piero Gasperini is looking forward to face the champions of Italy and had this to say to Atalanta's official channel:
"The victory against Sampdoria allows us to arrive on Sunday with great energy, it will be a beautiful day for Bergamo, because we are facing the Italian champions, so it will be a good meeting."
Gian Piero Gasperini also spoke to DAZN on a different occasion (after his team's victory against Sampdoria) about facing AC Milan:
"Great opportunity for Bergamo, we meet the reigning champions with merit, it will be a complicated match for both even if we are only in August."
