AC Milan's midfielder Yacine Adli has chosen to represent the Algerian national team. The former Girondins de Bordeaux player grew up in Villejuif, a Parisian suburb in the Île-de-France region and he chose to represent his roots: Algeria. Adli despite having played throughout the French youth team from U-16 to U-20 wants to play with the Algerians instead, teaming up with Ismael Bennacer who is already his companion at Milanello. He will also be playing with other stars there such as Riyad Mahrez, Said Ben Rahma and Ramy Bensabaini.
According to Algerian newspaper, La Gazette du Fennec, the Rossonero number 7 will be called up for the first time by coach Djamel Belmadi for the break of the national teams in September. Yacine Adli will also be joined by Lyon's star Houssem Aouar who also chose to join the Algerian national team.
