AC Milan took on Atalanta at the Gewiss stadium. The game was intense and difficult, it ended in a 1-1 draw.

Il Corriere dello Sport in today's print edition have commented on an interesting moment that should have resulted in a red card for the Bergamo club. We are talking about the intervention from Hans Hateboer on Portuguese winger Rafael Leao.

The Atalanta player, with his foot high, tackled Leao's leg: "Maresca opts for yellow, but Valeri at VAR, what justification does he have? That was a red on the pitch or at the VAR."

If this isn’t a straight red card, then what is? Could have ended Leao’s career.

Also: what’s the point of VAR if they don’t look at this?

Hateboer should be suspended for 3 games for this. https://t.co/fGMqvLWYsB
