AC Milan centre-back Simon Kjaer, who started in the goalless draw against Sassuolo has spoken to Sky Sport Italia and said the following:
"I am very happy to be back and for the gesture that the whole stadium has made. We have grown, we have lived a path where every player has grown a lot. For my part, I have to give my all to have the same impact as before. I want to give it my all and play. My teammates have grown a lot. There is work to be done."
On the draw vs Sassuolo:
"The last step was missing and a bit of clarity at the end. We must understand that this will always be the case this year. Everyone wants to beat the Italian Champions. Everyone wants to beat the Italian Champions. It will be a different championship. Sassuolo got behind and celebrated for one point. In my opinion it will be an intense championship until the end and we need to grow. If we play with this intensity and with this strength we are the strongest in Italy. If we remove it we can find some difficulties. We must always give our best."
On the next games, Kjaer said
"We must have the same hunger and the same attitude as last year. Every day we work and do our best to arrive the next day to do the same thing. It is not easy mentally but we have grown. In the end, today we didn't have the result and the last step was missing. We must all be very careful, if we start to brake a little we are not the same. There is a lot to do."
