As per Gianluca Di Marzio earlier, Sergino Dest is very close to signing with AC Milan on loan with an option to buy. The Rossoneri, after the injury of Alessandro Florenzi, the club identified the right-back of FC Barcelona to come as substitute for Davide Calabria.
As per the Italian journalist in another update now, Milan made a blitz for the American and found an agreement with Barcelona in a few hours. The American fullback will come on loan with the option to buy for about 20 million euros.
The negotiation with Barcelona is closing, only one detail is missing: the years of Dest's contract with Milan in the event of triggering the buyout clause. AC Milan have proposed a three-year, while the full-back would like a four-year deal. There is still no definitive agreement but Milan seem willing to accept the player's request, who is therefore one step away from arriving in Serie A.
As per Di Marzio, AC Milan entered in the negotiations that were already between FC Barcelona and Villareal for Dest and the Italian champions were decisive in beating competition from Villareal who were very close to the player.
Sergino Dest could arrive tomorrow (Thursday September 1) morning to undergo medical examinations and sign his contract with the club.
