Nizaar Kinsella, Standard Sport’s Chelsea reporter shared the latest report on Bakayoko's situation.
The French defensive midfielder is on loan from the Blues and he is currently on his second year on loan.
According to the source, AC Milan have an obligation to buy (around 14 million euros) that is only triggered if certain number of appearances are made by Bakayoko, which is why the champions of Italy have stopped playing the former Napoli and AS Monaco player:
"He has played 14 Serie A matches and if he plays one more, the clause will be activated. However, Milan have stopped playing him as they don't want to sign him permanently which has meant he has only made one appearance in eight months. Chelsea and Milan have been in talks to cancel both his loan and his contract with his agents so he could move to Monza. Unfortunately, it hasn't come to anything just yet and he could be set for a full year in the wilderness with his Chelsea contract still running until 2024."
Chelsea loanee Tiemoue Bakayoko has refused a move to Monza and is currently expected to stay at AC Milan on loan next season: https://t.co/7utDJBCPQN #CFC #DeadlineDay
