AC Milan Primavera side, coached by Ignazio Abate, have started their adventure in the Champions League with a 1-1 draw in Austria against RB Salzburg. The game took place at Grodig Stadium in Grodig, Salzburg.
The result and performance of the Rossoneri gave the coach many ideas also for the championship. Milan took the lead after 10 minutes thanks to a penalty by Coubis, awarded for the foul of the Austrian goalkeeper Krumrey on Cuenca Martinez.
Milan put RB Salzburg in difficulty just a few times. It should be mentioned that the Austrians were the finalists in the Youth League competition last season. In the second half the Austrians worked harder and found the equaliser in the 66th minute with Konatè on an assist from Berki.
The result is positive and Milan can now look forward to the next challenge in the Champions League which will be against Dinamo Zagreb at the Vismara centre on September 14.
