The AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has spoken to Milan TV about the game against RB Salzburg in the Champions League tonight. Here are his words:
"Champions League list? All players deserve to play in the Champions League. In roles where we had more than two players we had to make choices. The new players may have been penalized a bit, but the inclusion cannot be immediate. Hopefully we can give them the opportunity to enter later."
On RB Salzburg:
"It's an important match. I think last year's experience will help us. Last year, we returned to the Champions League after several years, it was an experience that made us grow but now we have to show that with this experience we can also achieve positive results in Europe. We know that there are no easy groups and games. Last year Salzburg went through the group, they never lost at home, not even against Bayern Monaco in the round of 16. They are a fast team, we have to play our game."
Pioli on the difficulties of the game vs RB Salzburg:
"Salzburg has many young players in the team, but they are ready to play the Champions League. They have been winning their championship for a few years, so they are a team used to playing to win. They are an attacking and fast team, maybe we can suffer something defensively, but I think we can also find some space forward. We know that we will find a prepared team, but we have our playing principles in mind. We will have to take the field with determination. The stadium will be very hot, the real football is in environments like this."

On AC Milan's style:
"Our game requires great concentration, determination and organisation. We know that we have to bring our ideas to the pitch and our way of playing. The level in the Champions League is high, so the details make the difference. We need clarity. and attention."
Pioli on the pressure that is on the AC Milan players:
"It is a privilege to have all this pressure, it means that we have reached a certain level. Even our expectations are higher. In terms of mentality and desire to play, the team is ready to give their best. even against Salzburg."
On Matthias Jaissle's team:
"They will try to play the game. They know how to dribble, but also verticalise. They attack in many. It will be a match in which the two teams will think about attacking and not just defending."
