AC Milan striker, Olivier Giroud, has spoken to the microphones of Sky Sport Italia after the win against Dinamo Zagreb at the San Siro. Here are the words of the French forward who scored the first goal in tonight’s game:
“At 2-1 we were not happy, I think we took advantage of this point against Salzburg and we wanted to win this match with our way of playing. I think we could have scored more and had more precision in the last pass. We are very happy, it was not an easy match but we did well.”
On playing in the Champions League:
“The Champions League is the best competition of all. We want to do well and get through the groups. We are in the second game, we have four points. We are doing well but we are very calm and serene. We must be calm and have confidence.”
Giroud on always starting for AC Milan now:
“I always want to play to help the team, I felt good even today. I owe a lot to the team, I’m a little disappointed with the replacement but it’s normal I’m very competitive. I understood that the coach wanted me to rest but I always want to be on the pitch. It’s my passion and I always want to play.”
