AC Milan head coach, Stefano Pioli, had the following statements to say to the media in the post-match of Milan - Dinamo Zagreb, a game which ended in the Rossoneri's favour at the San Siro 3-1:
"The win at the San Siro? It was a box that we didn't fill last year and tonight was a good opportunity. I am convinced that we can do even better, there are some situations to work on."
On Rafael Leao's performance and being always decisive:
"Today he played the games he was supposed to play. I would like him even higher and open especially for how they closed themselves. He is constantly growing and must not stop trying to get even stronger."
Where should Milan improve?
"There are games in which moving is so much a mistake and today was one of them: We made a mistake in pushing a lot with the full backs, favouring their defensive phase. We didn't have to concede, we were well-placed; communication could have been better."
Pioli on Tommaso Pobega:
"He held the same positions as Tonali. I have to manage a bit of strength and at the time of the game, giving changes is useful for the game and for the next one."
Did you get angry regarding the right-flank?
"I am always very nervous during matches. On the right, we had to manage better: we did a lot of actions with Brahim lower, instead of Calabria and it was not the best solution ... I said that."
Giroud said he was disappointed to be replaced...
"We talked about it serenely and we understood each other. I couldn't think of wearing Olivier down by thinking about next Sunday. It is really nice that a player always wants to play, but he also knows very well that I have to do my job."
