Simon Kjaer, AC Milan's central-defender who is back from a serious injury, is available for coach Stefano Pioli and is determined to prove that he is still the strong defender that the Rossoneri always relied on.
The experienced Dane defender had this to say to the microphones of Milan TV about the coming Napoli fixture:
"It will be an important match but it is still early to define it as decisive. Napoli is a team that is doing very well . This season there will be many matches and the more points we score before the World Cup the better because there will be little time to train."
Kjaer added:
"We will do everything to win, it won't be easy but we are Milan and we have to play like it."
On the injury:
"The path to get here was hard, but very nice. Two days earlier I was at the Ballon d'Or award ceremony and after another two days I found myself with a broken knee. Even from a mental point of view it was interesting, it gave me the opportunity to work on other aspects of my body, the possibility of coming back better than before. At Marassi while I was playing I did not think about it, but before the game, the memory came to my mind."
On his teamamtes:
"The team made a great journey when I was out, we won the Scudetto. We put many teams in Italy in difficulty because we play at a very high pace, our game system is tested. Thanks to the relationship with the group and with the coach, I work in serenity, but that does not mean that I have to go slowly: Mr. Stefano Pioli has always given me the time to train well."
Kjaer on Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu:
"My teammates are not my competitors, the department is united, then it is up to Mr. Pioli to choose who to send. Pierre and Fik have made a path that I consider fantastic, and this makes me happy also on a personal level. . Kalulu, for example, joined a group and a system that went, growing from game to game. He had a formidable season."
