Former AC Milan head coach, Arrigo Sacchi, has spoken about the Rossoneri's recent defeat against Napoli at the San Siro. Here are his words:
"It's a pity that the referee whistled the end. I would have been hours watching. I wished this game would never end. It was like a game from the Premier League in a difficult period in our football. Even a draw would have been close to Milan, but Napoli have shown that they are alive and have not stolen anything, proving that tactics are not always needed. Milan have been very good at pressing, but Napoli have been cautious If you dominate a lot, you should produce more: this is what Pioli 's team missed."
Sacchi concluded:
"The key? It was pace, especially in the second half. One attacked, the other responded. The two teams believe in what they do, and the credit goes to those who lead them. I liked everything about Milan , only the result and some single performances are out of place : I expect more from De Ketelaere and Saelemaekers. Giroud perhaps played his best game. AC Milan have shown that they are always there, now Napoli need continuity."
