Alexis Saelemaekers' injury is serious and he will be out for some time as he needs to undergo conservative therapy. The official statement reads the following (as relayed by Spazio Milan)
"Alexis Saelemaekers suffered a sprained trauma to his left knee during the match in Empoli. Exams this morning revealed a partial tear in the medial collateral ligament. The player will follow a conservative treatment."
Conservative therapies are foreseen for the player who will be out from 6 to 8 weeks and will return to the field only in January.
The list of injuries at AC Milan unfortunately gets bigger and it rises to 9 players with many who will see the field again after January.
