Last night's defeat againt Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge has created a lot of doubts and disappointment among the Rossoneri fans. Despite having several players out due to injuries, many were expecting a better Milan side. But, the performances were poor. Now, they have a tough fixture awaiting them in the league against Juventus, then they host Chelsea at the San Siro.
Mario Sconcerti, on Calciomercato.com has discussed the match between the Blues and the Rossoneri. According to him, one of the main problems for Pioli is the absence of Theo Hernandez. Here are his words: "At Milan, the heaviest absence was that of Theo because he is the man who opens the high space in which Leao begins to gain meters."
A second problem for the Rossoneri team was also indentified which is the structural problem. This is what Mario Sconcerti said: "There was also a structural problem. Milan at great levels are in physical difficulty in midfield, they have lost all the tackles and many headers. There are two reasons: the most important is De Katelaere's non-condition which forces the whole game to outnumber. The second reason is finer, but always technical: when Milan find an opponent without a clear playmaker, with the two midfielders in line and an attacking midfielder twenty meters ahead, Bennacer is closed by two opponents."
