The AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli and the Curva Sud Milano have been nominated for the Ambrogini d'Oro 2022 , the civic honors that will be conferred on December 7. The proposals date back to October 17 and were signed in both cases by the Forza Italia group leader Alessandro De Chirico. Here are the reasons behind these nominations.
The Emilian coach would be "deserving of assignment for the professional role played in the sporting field and for having contributed to the victory of the Scudetto by a Milanese football club."
As for Curva Sud Milano, however, the motivation is justified with these words, as relayed by Milan Press:
"Organised football support is flanked by beneficial initiatives for the population, such as donations to AREU in March 2020, at the beginning of the Covid emergency, or collaboration with the City Angels association for the collection of basic necessities, blankets and clothes for the Milanese homeless on the occasion of the Madonnina derby in February 2022. The Curva Sud Milano, a sporting and popular aggregation reality, contributed with the support and the incitement to the recent victory of the Rossoneri in the Serie A 2021-22 championship."
