For La Gazzetta dello Sport, Brahim Diaz was chosen as the man of the match with a rating of 8. Quite a few players follow him with a rating of 7 and they are: Theo Hernandez, Ismael Bennacer, Junior Messias, Divock Origi, and Rafael Leao. They have all worked hard and especially Divock Origi who provided 1 assist and finally scored in his first debut for the club.
AC Milan's goalkeeper, Ciprian Tatarusanu provided an assist in the game and made a couple of strong saves. However, perhaps he could have done better to save the free-kick shot by Filippo Ranocchia. He was shown a 6.5. Sergino Dest played only for the first 45 minutes and was replaced after some discomfort, he earned himself a 6.5 as well. Same rating goes to Fikayo Tomori, Tommaso Pobega and Pierre Kalulu.
Simon Kjaer and Matteo Gabbia received each a 6 for their efforts. Ante Rebic did not have his best game as he was granted a 5.5. The worst on the pitch, however, was Charles De Ketelaere who entered in the second half to replace the Spanish playmaker number 10. He missed a clear cut chance to score and looked a little shaky. The Belgian player of AC Milan was given a rating of 5.
