At Casa Milan, the club board was present in the shareholders meeting to approve the 2021-2022 financial statements.
Club president, Paolo Scaroni, said these words, as reported by Milannews.it:
"The conquest of the 19th Scudetto and the growing value of the Milan brand confirm the growth path undertaken from the Club, on and off the pitch. The results presented today underline a constant turnaround, which took place despite the crisis in the sector and in the general economy."
He added:
Scaroni concluded:
On the revenue strategy:
"We will soon renew the contract with Emirates. But the trend is positive, as shown by the new sponsorships."
What is the strategy of the new ownership in Italy and globally:
"Milan have around 400 million fans around the world who, unfortunately, are aging. Because if we don't do well in the Champions League, at some point we will only be 90. We need to feed them with good performances in the Champions League. Matches like yesterday's. they give me hope for the future."
Is there a chance for Milan to build their own stadium?
"we will do it with them. We work on other hypotheses, because we are not satisfied, and other solutions can be opened to them, even to do it alone. We are open to other hypotheses."
On the Super League:
"For us it is set aside. The ones that are not set aside are the problems. I hope that the various problems that affect European and Italian football will not be set aside. We hope that Uefa will take it upon itself to find solutions to these themes."
Did the club identify a new CEO to replace Gazidis, if rumours about the exit were true? Is it Giorgio Furlani? Scaroni said:
"The professional decisions that Ivan will make depend on him. I thank him for what he has done for Milan and for the relationships we have had. It is easy to be club president when you have someone like Ivan by your side."
What did Gerry Cardinale meant when he said that the club must be "shaken up" a bit?
"We have a shareholder (RedBird) who, in the interest of Milan, wants to make the most of his team's skills. They are 7 or 8 or 9 professionals in the sport. I believe that Milan can benefit, on all fronts, from this shareholder who brings us a range of skills that we did not have. We are all very optimistic to have a new phase of growth for the brand, the club and everything we do."
