Rafael Leao's contract renewal continues to be a hot topic of discussion for the Italian media. The left-winger of the AC Milan squad appeals interest of several important European clubs, reportedly and they would naturally be monitoring his situation closely as his deal runs out in June 2024. The Rossoneri directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have not yet been able to satisfy the demands of his entourage, but there is still time to try to find the definitive agreement for a renewal.

According to the latest news reported by SportMediaset, Rafael Leao is asking for a net salary worth 7 million euros per season for the duration of 4 years. AC Milan, however, are not offering the amount of money requested. Instead, they would be willing to propose a deal guaranteeing a net salary worth 6 million euros per season.

That is not the only 'knot' complicating the deal. In fact, Rafael Leao's entourage is asking from the Serie A giants to contribute to the compensation owed to Sporting Lisbon. Therefore, AC Milan would need to commit at least around 65 million euros to complete the total costs of the renewal operation.

The Italian outlet, SportMediaset, also shed light on Algerian midfielder Ismael Bennacer whose contract also expires in June 2024. His request is a net salary per season of 4 million euros, which would not be too difficult to reach for Premier League clubs who may be interested in signing him.
