There is not much time to dwell too much no the defeat against Torino. Stefano Pioli and his AC Milan squad must now focus on the coming Champions League fixture against RB Salzburg at the San Siro. A reaction is really needed to show that they do have important quality and strength.
Heading towards the game against RB Salzburg, there are a few doubts for the Rossoneri coach. According to today's print edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the main question is who to deploy in the playmaker's area? Brahim Diaz, against Torino, played for only 45 minutes while Charles De Ketelaere played the second of the match. Both players, like the rest of the team, underperformed.
If Stefano Pioli were to look at the latest performances and make a decision based on these, however, then Brahim Diaz would clearly be the winner of the race. But, Charles De Ketelaere still has important physicality, more than his Spanish teammate.
At the moment, therefore, there is no favourite yet. But, we will definitely know more following the next few training sessions at the Milanello sports centre.
