AC Milan are now in the hands of RedBird Capital Partners. After the work of Elliott, the sale of the club from the Singer family to Gerry Cardinale was made official and final in last september. The new ownership brought a number of partnerships and even investors on board like the New York Yankees.
One of the investors in the club is Riccardo Silva, owner of Miami FC and also a close of friend of Gerry Cardinale and Paolo Maldini. He is also a Milan fan. The Italian-American businessman spoke to the microphones of Sky Sport Italia about his investment in the Rossoneri club and his relationship with RedBird's founder. Here are his words:
"I have been a Milan fan since birth. Elliott must be thanked: they did an exceptional job. Now, I'm glad to have invested in Milan with my friends from RedBird, I'm an investor-fan who doesn't get involved in operational management. I'm happy that, after a few disappointing years, Milan are back to obtaining certain results. The presence of so many representatives of the Rossoneri club also in the Globe Soccer Awards is a sign that Milan is back to greatness."
