AC Milan's directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara could push for the signing of Houssem Aouar in January already instead of waiting to try to land his arrival as a free agent in the summer's transfer market window.
The 24-year-old player does not seem willing to renew his contract with the French club as he is looking for a new adventure elsewhere. Serie A clubs such as Juventus and AS Roma are also interested in securing his signature. Besides, other clubs from foreign leagues have shown appreciation and interest in him.
According to what is reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan would like to try to beat the competition by presenting an offer worth 8 million euros to Lyon in order to convince them to let Houssem Aouar leave this coming winter.
An exit of Yacine Adli would facilitate the operation as him leaving would make room for Aouar. The potential sale of Fodé Ballo-Touré's card for 5 million euros would also help greatly to finance this possible transfer.
