In the first round of the World Cup competition in Qatar, France started their path towards the final by beating Australia 4-1. Olivier Giroud even bagged a brace for himself then on November 22.
Australia's player, Jason Cummings who is a 27-year-old centre-forward, revealed that Giroud had snubbed him at the end of the match and even pretended to not speak English. Here are his words:
"So when I was walking back to my changing room and I’ve seen Giroud and I’m walking, as handsome as ever. I asked him, ‘Giroud, please man, can I get your shirt man? I’m a big fan, can I get your shirt?’ And he just walked past me. He pretended he never spoke English and he’s been in the Premier League for 10 years! (laughing). He just walked right past me!"
AC Milan's star, Olivier Giroud, took to Twitter to respond to Jason Cummings. He posted a photo on Twitter with a shirt of Australia's 29-year-old central midfielder Jackson Irvine and wrote the following caption:
"Hi @jacksonirvine_ How is my English mate?"
