AC Milan are working hard to renew the contract of Portuguese star Rafael Leao. The latest rumours from several sources speak of a new deal to be proposed around 6.5 to 7 million euros in order to keep him happy.
According to what is reported by La Repubblica newspaper, the extension renewal between the player’s entourage and the Rossoneri management is difficult and complicated. But, there is hope from the club directors to reach an agreement for the new deal soon.
A new contract for Leao means that AC Milan will enjoy more negotiating power with other European clubs interested in the player, if the Rossoneri do decide to listen to offers. The former Lille talent’s deal expires in June 30, 2024.
According to La Repubblica, there is interest coming from La Liga side Real Madrid, but not only them. In fact, ‘half of the Premier League’ is also keen, especially Chelsea and Newcastle United.
