Following the draw against AS Roma, many have questioned Stefano Pioli's changes and also the attitude of some players. The Rossoneri were leading 2-0 up until the 87th minute. Roma then equalised in the dying minutes of the game from two set-pieces.
Former head coach of AC Milan, Vincenzo Montella, spoke to Radio anch'Io lo sport about the result. Here are his words:
"I think they've done a great job. Sometimes the coach is criticized, but he's doing a great job. He probably doesn't have 18 players of the same level to be able to aim for the Scudetto every year."
Montella:
"Football has a short memory, I think Pioli has done and is doing an extraordinary job together with the club. How much you can spend must be weighed and certainly Milan, at the net of all this, between salaries and money spent in the market, it is the club that has saved the most."
On Olivier Giroud:
"The centre-forward that I like the most today? Giroud is the classic centre-forward, I like Abraham, but Osimhen too, they are players suited to modern football. They attack the opposing lines, taking the defenders from behind."
