AC Milan technical area director, Paolo Maldini, and his colleague Frederic Massara who is the sports director are not making many moves regarding the incoming signings. Only Devis Vasquez was signed on a low-cost deal which was worth less than 500 thousand euros in total.

According to what has been reported by La Repubblica, RedBird's founder and managing partner Gerry Cardinale has decided to continue on Elliott's road because there are limited resources right now.
In fact, The agreement with UEFA on the balance between income and expenses also looms over the limited budget for Maldini and Massara, under penalty of future withholding of 13 million euros (For context: Juventus with 19.5 million, 22 million for Inter, AS Roma with 30 million and PSG with 55 million euros).
The negotiations with Rafael Leao for the contract renewal, however, will continue upon returning from Riyadh after playing the Supercoppa Italiana against Inter and the Portuguese's contract will be the Rossoneri club's exception.
