AC Milan were absolutely ran over by Inter in Saudi Arabia in a derby for the Supercoppa Italiana trophy. Stefano Pioli and his boys crumbled and failed to produce a positive performance to challenge the Nerazzurri.
According to Milan News' analysis, the problem is in these two levels: mentality and tactics.
Last year's Milan is unrecognisable; the issue is primarily psychological. The approach to matches must be revised, but in general, Milan does not hold up tactically, displaying little fluidity in the game and very little compactness.
The Rossoneri are currently at the mercy of their opponents, and Pioli will have to work hard to mentally recover his players and tactically correct the team. After losing two possible trophies, something must be done by the team in order to honour the Champions League and remain in the top four of the Serie A league table. Milan must turn before it's too late.
