AC Milan's interest in Nicolo Zaniolo is real. The Italian attacking midfielder AS Roma who is 23 years old is unlikely to renew his deal with his club and a transfer in January is not excluded.
As per the information collected by our journalist and correspondent Vito Angelè, the Rossoneri club management have resumed contacts with Nicolo Zaniolo's agent after initial talks in the previous summer transfer window.
The AC Milan's first thought was to sign the player next year. However, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are now thinking of anticipating this operation now as there is a break between the talented Italian and Roma.
To be able to land him, Il Diavolo club would be willing to put on the table an offer of 25 million euros plus an option to buy linked to certain team and player objectives: Champions League qualification and player appearances. AC Milan have been made aware through the agent that Zaniolo would accept a move to join them. As for the salary terms, he would like to receive around 4 million euros net per season, which is the amount that AS Roma promised him initially for the renewal.
