Commentator Tiziano Crudeli who is a well-known AC Milan fan spoke about the Rossoneri's terrible defeat against Lazio 4-0. He granted the following ratings to the players:
Tatarusanu (3): The goalkeeper missed Milinkovic-Savic's shot by just a few centimetres, which brought the Biancocelesti up 1-0. To end the game in the worst way, he can't even save Luis Alberto's penalty and suffers four-of-a-kind with Felipe Anderson. Maignan, when are you coming back?
Calabria (5): A subdued match for the Rossoneri captain. He makes many useless fouls...
Kalulu (4): Responsible like the team mates of tonight's result. The good advances made on Felipe Anderson during the first half were useless. No one was able to stop the Brazilian tonight, who scored the fourth goal.
Tomori (4): Another game to forget for him. The defender let himself be surprised too many times by Felipe Anderson, who easily stole the ball from him and managed to pierce the Rossoneri backline.
Kjaer (4.5): He tries to be ready for enemy incursions, but like all defenders he suffers the superiority of the biancoceleste attack.
Dest (5): It is clear that the American wants to do well, even if he holds the ball a little too much. He manages to shoot and enter the opponent's penalty area, also favoring some interesting crosses for Leao. However, the 2-0 goal came due to his mistake: the defender was unable to close on Marusic's shot, with the ball then arriving at Zaccagni's feet. Among the defenders, he is the one who has played least badly.
Tonali (5): Sandro can't play like this. It is true that the first Rossoneri shot came from him in the 19th minute, when he tried to surprise Provedel but his shot from distance was too central. However, the midfielder was unable to anticipate his opponents.
Bennacer (4): On several occasions he arrives late on the ball, being anticipated by the opponents and allowing the Biancocelesti to restart. Bad gesture in the 26th minute: after a foul on Zaccagni, he kicks the stationary ball away. This gesture costs him the yellow card and therefore he will miss the next match against Sassuolo because he is warned. He tries to reopen the match with a corner kick in the 49th minute, but the ball goes just wide.
Messias (5.5): His counterattacks on the sideline are beautiful, where, however, he finds Hysaj closing him down.
Brahim Diaz (5.5): He slips well into midfield and manages to serve some interesting balls for Leao. He tries to surprise the opposing defense, but finds excellent opposition from his former teammate Alessio Romagnoli.
Leao (4): Much more is expected from a player like him. The Portuguese tried several times to surprise the opposing defence, also attempting shots from the edge of the box. However he seems to have lost that flicker that distinguishes him and that has led him to be one of the points of reference in the squad.
Giroud (3): But did Olivier take the field? The French striker was not seen throughout the game. Never an action, never a pocket in the opposing penalty area. It's true that he received few balls, but he too didn't show up at all.
Pioli (2): It can't go on like this! The fans don't deserve to see these embarrassing performances from the Italian champions. Never a shot on goal, never a character reaction. There are three weeks of blackout for the Rossoneri, who after the elimination from the Italian Cup and the defeat in the Super Cup are unable to react. A change is needed and now the club can't turn a blind eye!
