AC Milan's managers are eyeing up a transfer move for AS Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo. According to what is reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri may even attempt a double 'lunge': Ziyech and Zaniolo.
The club is on the trail leading to the young Italian right-winger. The player's salary should not be a problem. However, it's the negotiations with Roma that are difficult. The current Serie A champions would send forward a loan with an option to buy at 18 million euros. The Giallorossi would not be convinced at all with such an offer as they would prefer an obligation to buy to be included in the deal instead of an option. Roma want to make as much money as possible from a possible sale and have even got close to an asking price around 35 million euros. Plus, selling their star Milan would mean reinforcing a direct competitor and rival in the league.
As per the newspaper, Milan have also moved again for Hakim Ziyech. The problem remains the same as in the summer and is the exact opposite compared to Zaniolo: for Chelsea there would be no problems in selling the player on loan with the right and the biggest problem is the high salary, 6 million. A possible signing of Ziyech would obviously guarantee the player a starting position on the right where he would replace the Messias-Saelemaekers duo. AS Roma are warned by this action because they are also eyeing up a move for Ziyech who is seen as a possible replacement for Zaniolo. Meanwhile, two names are added to the shortlist for the centre-forward position reinforcement in the summer.
