Eventually, AS Roma did not manage to sell Nicolo Zaniolo in the winter. The only club who was willing to satisfy the Giallorossi's demands was AFC Bournemouth but the player himself was not keen on making that transfer happen.
AC Milan, for their part, made an attempt to sign the Italian talent for a loan around 500 thousand euros and a buy-obligation set at 17.5 million euros plus bonuses triggered in case of Champions League qualification.
As reported by Tuttosport in this morning's print edition, Milan have not yet given up on Zaniolo and at the end of this season they could make a new attempt to try and bring him to Milanello. AS Roma could lower their demands in the summer because Zaniolo then will have a contract which would expire at the end of the next season.
AC Milan directors will use the player's strong desire to don the red and black shirt as leverage in the negotiations with the Giallorossi in the summer.
