AC Milan have enjoyed a significant resurgence in form during the previous month of February, following a miserable January which saw the team suffer a series of crushing defeats and concede many goals. The Rossoneri have now won four games on the bounce across Serie A and the Champions League competitions and are firmly in the hunt for a place in next season's elite European tournament.
As the club pushes for success on the pitch, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are already looking ahead to the summer transfer window with reports suggesting that the club directors are keen to secure the services of Riccardo Orsolini from Bologna.
The 26-year-old Italian winger has enjoyed an impressive season in red and blue, under the guidance of Thiago Motta, having netted seven goals in 21 Serie A appearances. Orsolini would provide competition for the likes of Alexis Saelemaekers and Junior Messias on the right flank, as pointed out by Pianeta Milan.
The winger's contract with Bologna is set to expire on June 30, 2024, meaning he could be available for a reasonable fee and with a salary that meets Milan's requirements. While Bologna have offered Orsolini a contract extension worth €1.5 million per year until 2026, a slightly higher offer from AC Milan could secure the services of the man who helped to eliminate Inter in the previous round of the Serie A.
