AC Milan is gearing up for what promises to be an interesting summer transfer window.
Via Aldo Rossi's club is set to leave no stone unturned in its efforts to upgrade its squad ahead of next season. One name that has caught the attention of the Rossoneri is Mouctar Diakhaby. The 26-year-old center-back, hailing from Guinea but possessing a French passport, has racked up 17 appearances for Valencia in 'La Liga', Copa del Rey, and Spanish Super Cup this season.
The player in question has also netted twice in the league, both times against Rayo Vallecano and Osasuna. With a contract running until June 30, 2027, Diakhaby could be available for a reasonable fee. His market value, as per Transfermarkt, currently stands at €8 million. Diakhaby, who honed his skills at Olympique Lyonnais, joined Valencia in 2018 for a fee of €15 million. Notably, he was also coached by Gennaro Gattuso this season. Should the Rossoneri decide to make a move, it wouldn't come as a surprise if they sought more detailed insights from their old acquaintance, Rino, as relayed by Pianeta Milan who cite Fichajes.
