After Tottenham - Milan, which secured a place in the Champions League quarter-finals for his team, Stefano Pioli spoke to Sky Sport. Here are his words:
"Italo Galbiati's passing? We are very close to the Italo Galbiati family. He was a person who had Milan in his heart and it is sad to have received this news."
On the Rossoneri passing to the quarter finals round in the Champions League:
"It is a Milan victory, Milan has always been used to this in Europe, even better though we take it one step at a time. We had to get through the group stage, then the round of 16, and then we will think about the quarter-finals. My players did not surprise me, I know they have quality and certain characteristics."
Pioli continued:
"We played with personality and showed that we were better than our opponents in both matches. The quarter-finals will be a danger for us but also for others. This new positivity must serve us in the league which is too important. We have to push hard, it will be essential to qualify for the Champions League next year. We are among the top eight in Europe but I wouldn't want to face Italian teams."
Pioli continued:
"At Milan, I am experiencing important emotions, beautiful satisfactions with the players, managers, and fans. I hope to continue experiencing them, they make me happy and proud. I often talk to Paolo [Maldini] about the Champions League and these important matches. Paolo speaks to the players every day and transmits enthusiasm, passion, and a sense of belonging to them."
