Interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Alfred Schreuder, former coach of Club Brugge and Charles De Ketelaere, speaks about the Rossoneri's number 90 with great confidence.
Is he a market flop for Milan?
"Absolutely not. De Ketelaere will be a top player. If he adapts to the physical impact of Serie A, which will take him a year, he will improve a lot. David Neres took a year at Ajax, it can be the same with him. As for the criticism, in the era of social media, everyone talks about everything. I worked at Barcelona and I remember that after bad games, there were those who criticized Messi."
What's De Ketelaere's ideal position?
"For me, he's a second striker, although he can play on the right. He seems slow, but he's quite fast on the pitch."
Have you talked recently?
"No, only at the beginning of the season, and he told me he was facing a big step. I can tell you that in the summer, I tried to bring him with me to Ajax. He didn't even let me go ahead, he only wanted Milan."
