After the 3-1 Serie A defeat against Roma's team, here are the statements of the AC Milan Women's head coach Maurizio Ganz to 'La7' microphones:
"Today we were missing five starters and everyone struggled... We didn't have any other solutions, we played a lot of young players. We couldn't have done more than this. In the second half we believed we could come back, but we need to limit our mistakes. We missed many chances to achieve important results throughout the season, like against Juve. I'm not angry today, we did what we had to do but there is always regret because we lost."
On the future, Maurizio Ganz said:
"We are already working on it. There will be three or four replacements and we could make our mark, we are a good group. We started badly in the first two games and it was tough from there."
We can’t be satisfied with these excuses. Milan have great players seen individually, and especially after Ganz sends them away. It is hard enough to be be a Milan Women’s fan in the USA with the poor media support provided by the club, but I will start following other Serie A teams next year rather that watch this guy slowly drive the team to relegation. Has he honestly met any of the ownership’s goals?
