The Milan mayor, Giuseppe Sala, spoke to the media recently about the new stadium project of AC Milan. Here are some of his words:
"Compared to the idea of bringing Milan and Inter back to the project that was in vogue until a few months ago, namely a stadium in the area of the current facility, it is useless for the PD councilors to tell me 'convince the teams'. Do they think I'm not trying? I am definitely trying."
He continued:
"So I say to the PD: stop asking me. If they think they can convince them, they should talk to Milan. If they succeed, we are all happy. We have worked so hard towards this. But if, at this moment, Milan tells me they have another idea, what should I do?"
Sala added:
"Because I said a very simple thing: I am not against the La Maura project until I see it. I am not against it theoretically. I think the PD should meet with the teams, especially Milan. I will meet with the majority councilors when I have the project on the table, otherwise, what am I talking about?"
